Did you know 76% of cataract surgeries are performed in private hospitals or day surgeries?1 And you do not need private health insurance to access private cataract surgery – you can self-fund it at any Vision Eye Institute clinic using your own funds.

Self-funding your surgery through the private system means you can expect:

  • Your choice of surgeon and location
  • Your choice of surgery date
  • Access to a range of replacement lenses to suit your lifestyle goals
  • Minimal wait times for consultations and surgery
  • Access to a payment plan through the SurgeryAssist program at our Vision Hospital Group day surgeries.

If you have private health insurance, we recommend contacting your insurer to confirm your coverage and any applicable excess.
